[ A writing space ]

Thoughts from the margins.

Most ideas don't arrive in the middle of the page. They show up at the edge. Bracket keeps that edge as a working space, and moves a thought into the page when it has earned its place.

The margin is a working space. Write there freely.

When a thought earns its place, bring it in.

How it works

A page for what you mean. A margin for everything else.

Two surfaces, one move between them. Nothing is hidden in folders or panels, and nothing moves unless you move it.

01

Write at the edge

Notes sit beside the paragraph they belong to. Loose thoughts with no home gather at the bottom of the margin.

02

Bring it in

Press “Bring in” or drag the note into the page. It travels from where it was to where it lands, and the paragraphs make room.

03

Send it back out

A paragraph that isn't ready can go back to the margin. One undo reverses either move.

Details

Quiet at rest. Precise when you touch it.

Surfaces stay flat until you interact with them. Motion is short, and every animation stops the moment you do something new.

The thought in hand

Two thin brackets hold the paragraph you're working on. Hover a margin note and they show which paragraph it belongs to.

A dark room, not an inverted one

Dark mode is its own palette: graphite with warm type, and an ember version of the red.
